PAMUKKALE AND HIERAPOLIS DAILY TOUR
Begin the day with pickup from your hotel. The exact pickup time depends on your accommodation location and will be confirmed before departure.
During the journey to Pamukkale, a rest stop will be provided around the halfway point, allowing time to relax before continuing the route.
The programme then includes a visit to a local onyx workshop. Discover decorative and handcrafted pieces produced from traditional Turkish onyx stone and learn about the materials and techniques used by local craftspeople.
After the workshop visit, enjoy lunch at a nearby restaurant serving local dishes.
Upon arrival in Pamukkale, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, begin exploring the famous white travertine terraces. These natural formations, often referred to as the Cotton Castle, were created over time by mineral-rich thermal spring water flowing across the hillside.
Walk through the permitted sections of the travertines, admire the unusual white landscape and experience the area’s thermal waters according to the current visitor regulations.
Continue with a guided tour of the ancient city of Hierapolis. Explore the remains of this important Greco-Roman and Byzantine settlement while learning about its history from a licensed professional guide.
During the visit, see prominent archaeological structures including the Roman theatre, the necropolis and monuments associated with Saint Philip, together with other remains across the ancient city.
Free time will also be provided to explore the area independently, take photographs or visit Cleopatra’s Pool as an optional activity. Admission to Cleopatra’s Pool is not included and is subject to availability and current operating conditions.
After the visit, begin the return journey and complete the day with transfer to your confirmed hotel or drop-off point.
